Watercolour & Soft Pastel Wedding Inspiration | Guest Blogger Xanya Theron

A styled shoot is something that I’ve been wanting to do since I just started out as a photographer. I would excitedly get to work on my Pinterest board filled with inspiration, but then always lost motivation by the time it actually came to pulling it off. This time though, things were different. Not because I found the most awesome suppliers to help me out, but because God brought the most amazing friends into my life that also just so happened to be super talented creatives! This of course made the planning process and execution lots of fun (because there is no such thing as too much coffee right?). So a big thank you to this awesome creative team of local wedding suppliers!

Change.

It’s inevitable – yet the one thing that we fear most. Quite recently I stumbled upon some old photos of myself in high school. I was the epitome of teenage rebellion – black dyed hair, the weird outfits, you name it! I would never imagine myself being where I am now, however I guess that’s the beauty of life – no one but our Heavenly Father knows what would happen next.

This fact does make some people lazy – both spiritually and in other aspects of life.

We cross our arms and say “whatever will be, will be”, forgetting that although everything is in His hands, we still have steps to take in order to grow.  Bold steps, sometimes. We can so easily be consumed by our little comfort zones, forgetting that stagnation is just as good as death. We sit back and expect miracles to happen, forgetting that faith must be accompanied by acts of faith.

We should make a point to try new things and grow. Meet new people, make new memories, dare to do the things you never thought you could.

Life is there to be lived – so stop holding back and LIVE IT!
